CAREERS IN SOLAR ENERGYWith non-renewable energy costs skyrocketing and the world becoming more environmentally conscious, the renewable energy job market is thriving. Sustainable energy is a rapidly growing industry and so called "green collar" workers are needed in all sectors, including wind, wave and tidal, geothermal and maybe most importantly, solar. There are some great jobs out there in solar energy, and with some know-how, the right person can find a great fit in this up and coming industry. Working in solar energy would be a great choice for someone that is forward thinking and has a passion for sustainability. Like all industries, available jobs in solar energy span a variety of skill sets, from administrative, engineering, financial and research and development. Engineering positions are widely available in the solar energy industry. An engineer may be tasked with the installation of solar paneling and equipment, solar panel location design, point to point checks on solar panel instillation and even maintaining client relationships. Engineers will need a minimum of a bachelors degree in engineering and often require additional certification. A qualified engineer can make an average between 60K and 120K per year.
